My wife and I are together because of her efforts to build a work at home business. I’ve often joked with her about the extent to which she went to get me to be a part of that effort, namely, marrying me.
We had both been married and divorced before this effort began and were both struggling as divorced parents, and looking for ways to better take care of our family’s needs. I have 9 children currently ranging in age from 27 down to my youngest who is 12. My wife has 5 children ranging in age from 28 down to her youngest at 16. We are working at blending our families and I’m sure that we will be working on that for the next 30 years. As my wife likes to say, “We only have 8 boys and 1 girl at home.” So the needs of our family are as above average as our family is.
I had been approached throughout my life several times by people involved in many different home based, multi-level or network marketing businesses. I had never signed up. I was put off by the talk of eighty thousand dollar Mercedes, speed boats, and mansions. I was especially put off by the lack of value in the “products” that fed the businesses, as well as the talk about letting the product pile up in your garage and just build your “network”. I was put off by the large investment required to “sign up” and by seeing these friends of mine out busting their “butts” to make the business work, only to see them give up because it was seemingly impossible to make money. That’s my history, my wife’s experience is completely different.
Early in her life she sold cosmetics door to door, she was the top seller in her district and was offered a job managing that district. She turned that opportunity down for one that she felt was an even greater opportunity, that of being a mother. This was an easy choice for her but was definitely a challenge, financially. She managed to provide music lessons and opportunities to have horses for her children that have greatly benefited and shaped their lives. When she found herself divorced with the need to provide food, shelter and clothing for those children she decided to again pursue a home based business. She is a very talented sales person with an outgoing, bubbly personality that is absolutely infectious.
She studies, listens and gets excited and is able to spread that excitement. She was involved with at least 5 different opportunities and gave them her best shot. Some of them had great products but she just couldn’t make any money at them. They required a fairly large investment, of both time and money, to get involved and to maintain. Some of the products offered didn’t have the value that they seemed to in the beginning.
When we got married, my mind was dutifully more open to investigating these opportunities and the products that they involved. One opportunity was focused on building leadership and character and my wife most definitely benefited from the products. That company essentially merged with another company that offered some very good wellness products, but after much consideration and investigation we determined that the value assigned to the product by the company, which was required to feed the compensation plan, just was not there. The product was selling for around $40 and was only truly worth around $5 (if you took it out of it’s pretty and expensive packaging.)
Given our combined experience and study we have been searching for a home based business that we can work together on; that will allow me to continue to focus on my “day job”; and that will allow my wife to continue to focus on being a mom. So we came up with some criteria to evaluate the opportunities that were out there. Those criteria follow:
- The business will not distract us from providing physically, emotionally and spiritually for our family.
- The business will help us become more free, by giving us more time with our family, and by giving us more financial stability.
- The business will be a legitimate business with products that offer true value.
- The business will offer a fair compensation plan that will provide the means for us to get a return on our investment of time and money.
- The business will provide to us the means to help others take care of their families and to reach their goals.
After much study and consideration we have found the business that we believe meets these criteria. This business requires very little investment to get started. It offers a great deal of support to build the business and it offers a very compelling plan. One of the main things that I found unique and very attractive is that this new shopping concept is doesn’t require any “new” money. They simply suggested that we change the store that we bought what we already use everyday. They also told us that we could make money simply by referring others to the products and that our loyalty would be rewarded. They then showed us how we could build a business that could help us better provide for our family and build some financial security in these trying times that appear as though they will become more challenging than they are today. They also indicated that because their plan and products are so compelling that there is a 95% rate of people staying with the plan and the business.
My wife and I would love to talk to you about this business, about the great products and about how we are planning to get to our goal of financial freedom. Contact us.
